Dua Lipa is a British singer/songwriter born in London United Kingdom on August 22nd 1995. After working as a fashion model her decision was to join Warner Bros Records and release her debut album "Dua Lipa" in 2017. This album reached number 3 in the U.K. Charts and released 8 singles. This included Be the One I.D.G.A.F and the U.K. Number One single New Rules as well as the U.K. Number. One track New Rules. The album, which has now been certified platinum in a variety of countries around the world has won two Brit Awards (in the year 2018) in the categories of British Female Solo Artist and British Breakthrough Artist. Dua Lipa was conceived at the age of 18 in London in the UK by Kosovo Albanian parents Anesa rexha (mother) and Dukagjin lilipa (father). By way of her maternal grandparents Dua Lipa, she is Bosnian. Additionally, her ancestors are from the Kosovo town Peja. Two of Lipa's grandfathers were historians. Her siblings include Rina and Gjin. The musical influence of Lipa's came from her father, who is the lead singer and guitarist of Kosovan The rock band Oda.
